Masterclasses and concerts
July 29 - August 7, 2011

Welcome!
Welcome to the International Summer Academy Lüneburger Heide! Here you can find all necessary information and downloads. Please do not hesitate to contact us in case of any questions or suggestions.
After our tremendous success at the inaugural Summer Academy last year, we're happy to be able to continue and extend our support of young musicians. In addition to masterclasses, held by internationally renowned pedagogues, selected outstanding participants will be awarded prizes and concerts. Thanks to generous support, the Summer Academy can offer free accomodation, board and local transportation to all participants, in order to not strain the young musicians' budgets too much. Many thanks to all our sponsors for making this support possible!
Besides the lessons, the Faust Quartet (prize winners at the 2004 Munich ARD competition) will again be at the participants' disposal for chamber music and concerto collaborations. Evening recitals, special concerts, lectures and Alexander Technique lessons are both intensification and enrichment of the course programme. At the end of the Summer Academy, participants will be given the chance to present themselves to the public in two closing concerts.
This year we welcome Ewa Kupiec (Munich) and Prof. Arie Vardi (Hannover / Tel Aviv) as new guest faculty. At the same time we are delighted to have Prof. Bernd Goetzke with us again. We look forward to ten intense days filled with music!
